Dedicated sequence controller
Supplied with SORGO sequence controller in a stainless steel cabinet.

FRICTION · SMOULDERING · WOOD CHIP · STEAM · LIQUID
From friction smoke to central wood-chip supply: SORGO selects the generator, smoke capacity and pipework to suit the product and building. Stainless steel smoke paths are integrated into the automatic cleaning concept.
APPLICATION AREAS
PROCESS SEQUENCE
THE FIVE SMOKE PRINCIPLES
Flavour, smoke character and process determine the smoke principle. Then select the right smoke generator for your system.
| Smoke principle | Operating principle | Flavour / smoke character | Typical application |
|---|---|---|---|
| Friction smokeSquare timber | Controlled friction on a smoking timber block | Clean, finely adjustable and highly reproducible | Frequent batch changes – from artisan production to industry |
| Smouldering smokeSmoking sawdust and fine wood shavings | Controlled smouldering of smoking sawdust | Traditional, aromatic and flexible | Traditional hot- and cold-smoking applications |
| Wood-chip smokeWood chips | Automated thermal conversion of wood chips | Very high smoke density and strong aroma | Strong smoke profiles, high utilisation and centralised concepts |
| Steam smokeWood chips | Steam-assisted, controlled smoke generation | Very high smoke density and strong aroma | High smoke density and project-specific processes |
| Liquid smokeLiquid smoke concentrate | Recipe-controlled dosing of smoke condensate | Uniform application with precise dosing | Standardised processes and rapid product changes |

RETROFITTING & MODERNISATION
Every SORGO smoke generator can be supplied separately and connected to existing SORGO systems or other manufacturers' systems. This enables targeted modernisation of smoking technology without replacing the entire system.
Supplied with SORGO sequence controller in a stainless steel cabinet.
A defined interface connects the smoke generator to the existing system controls.
Direct adjustment on the compact touchscreen.

SORGO SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Location, stainless steel pipework, extinguishing and safety functions, cleaning and connection to process controls are matched to the actual building and production layout.
Beside the system, one level above or below, or in a separate technical room.
Automatic safety functions monitor operation and trigger defined protective sequences, including integrated extinguishing, in critical conditions. The configuration is adapted to the smoke generator, installation and fire protection concept.
Generators and project-specific stainless steel smoke paths are included in the cleaning concept.
EMISSIONS & TA LUFT
To meet the applicable emission requirements of TA Luft, we consider and design the smoke generator, smoking chamber, exhaust air routing and, where necessary, exhaust gas treatment as a complete system. Appropriately designed SORGO systems meet these requirements during intended operation.
SORGO ENGINEERING
Friction, smouldering, wood-chip, steam and liquid smoke from a project-specific selection.
Beside the system, one level above or below, or in a separate technical room.
Smoke generators and project-specific stainless steel smoke pipework are cleaned together.
Compact generators and powerful systems serving multiple chambers.
TECHNICAL DESIGN
Smoke principle, product, system volume, desired smoke character, installation location, smoke path, safety and cleaning determine the detailed configuration. Unconfirmed capacity values are not assumed in advance.
Friction, smouldering, wood-chip, steam or liquid smoke matched to the product and desired result.
Integrated, beside, above or below the system, or in a separate technical room.
As part of a new SORGO system or supplied separately to modernise existing SORGO systems and other manufacturers' systems.
CONTROL & PROCESS DOCUMENTATION
Intuitive operation on a 15.6-inch industrial touchscreen, storable programmes and precise process control. Also discover SORGO INSPECT for central documentation and optional remote operation via smartphone or tablet.
Smoke generation, smoke path, safety and cleaning are controlled to suit the supplied or retrofitted configuration.
